Snapdragon Stadium
Snapdragon Stadium is the centerpiece of Mission Valley — a modern 35,000-seat venue that opened in 2022 on the former Qualcomm Stadium site. It hosts San Diego FC (MLS), SDSU Aztecs football, and major concerts and events throughout the year.

Hazard Center has restaurants and entertainment. Westfield Mission Valley has been redeveloped with new stores and entertainment options. Both are easy to reach from anywhere in the valley.

Mission Valley has more outdoor access than most guests expect. Mission Trails Regional Park is the highlight, but the San Diego River path and nearby parks offer easy green space without driving far.
Mission Trails Regional Park
About 10 minutes from Mission Valley by car, Mission Trails is one of the largest urban parks in the country. Trails of all levels, waterfalls, and mountain views make it a genuine outdoor escape. Great for morning hikes before the heat sets in.
San Diego River Path
Runs right through Mission Valley — flat walking and biking along the river. Perfect for a morning jog, casual stroll, or bike ride without needing to drive anywhere. The path connects several parks and green spaces.
Cowles Mountain
About 15 minutes from Mission Valley. A popular summit hike with panoramic views of San Diego. Moderate difficulty, well-maintained trail. Best done in the morning to avoid afternoon heat.

SDSU Campus
San Diego State University campus is close to Mission Valley with public events, campus walks, and game-day energy during football season. The campus has been expanding with new development connecting to the stadium area.
Mission Bay & Beaches
Mission Bay is about 10–15 minutes away with water sports, playgrounds, and sandy beaches. Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach are 15–20 minutes for a classic beach day. Take the trolley or rideshare to skip parking hassles.

About 10 minutes away via car or trolley. Historic Old Town has Mexican restaurants, shops, and the Old Town State Historic Park. Easy to reach on the MTS trolley line.
